RESEARCH AND ADVISORY SERVICES:

Market intelligence reports

The chamber undertakes market entry and product research to gather empirical data, process and analyze data and present the findings in easy to comprehend mode to support investment decision making.
Our research enables us to provide accurate insights into markets in Africa, dissecting them into ‘East Africa Outlook Report’,’ Southern Africa Outlook Report’, ‘West Africa Outlook Report’, ‘North and Central Africa Outlook Report’.
The chamber will outdoor a general report titled ‘’Africa Outlook Report’’ at beginning of every quarter of the year which will provide highlights of the various markets as captured in the regional outlook reports.
Afcops intends to forge synergetic partnerships with credible research institutions in Africa.
We are committed to sharing our research reports regularly with the AfCFTA secretariat and other stakeholders including Afcops’ members, Africa Development Bank, Afri-exim bank, OSIWA, GIZ, etc. .

Database and information directory for businesses

The AfCFTA Chamber of Producers and Suppliers(Afcops) will establish and maintain an electronic database and information directory of various businesses operating across Africa in sectors such as pharmaceutical, breweries/food & beverage, I.T & telecommunication, commerce, agriculture/agribusiness, energy, petrochemical and oil & gas, etc. The rationale for this is to meet growing need of investors and policy makers for data and relevant information regarding various sectors of the single African market created by AfCFTA.

Trade facilitation

The chamber assists its members and all persons interested in transacting business in Africa in the following ways;

 Securing Off-take agreements/contracts with buyers (customers) of various products and commodities such as coffee, sesame, soybeans, etc.

 Organizing trade events (trade fairs) and conferences.
 Organizing capacity building workshops for Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SME’S) in Africa.

 Arranging certificates of origin of AfCFTA for businesses or corporate organizations interested in exporting their products to different destinations in Africa.

 Establishing an escrow account to support business transactions between suppliers and consumers.

 Running a vibrant e-commerce website to promote trade in Africa

ADVOCACY FOR BUSINESSES AND INDIVIDUALS

Afcops will periodically organize press conferences and public educational events to advocate for fairer terms of trade across borders in Africa.

INVESTMENT/PROJECT FINANCING OPPORTUNITIES FOR BUSINESSES IN AFRICA

As part of an overall strategy to accelerate growth of SME’s in Africa, Afcops works with other non-governmental organizations to provide funding to budding entrepreneurs and SME’s with convincing sustainability plans. The chamber also plans to set up a crowd funding scheme for emerging projects with strong sustainability and environmental plans.
